both cried in unison, “then the prediction in The Lermontov Manuscript is true!” continued Maude, “in it he says that he will return in 2016 – we haven't said a word about this, Crist just deciphered it last night, and we've kept mum in case we prompted a spate of imposters, and Gordon, the person with him is a woman?” he nodded in confirmation, “and he says she's from the Stone Age, a Cave-Dweller, from a Cavern beneath the summit of the North Eildon?” flabbergasted, he agreed, “it's all there, in his own hand,” continued Maude and Daphne added, “and he's been in company with Bernie, Tammy and Tavish, and a couple of scoundrels,” to which Brevity also added, “and a passel of Cavemen and women and,” he paused for dramatic effect, “he has a manuscript which seems to have been compiled by different hands, in charcoal on a piece of animal skin, and it's been so hurriedly written that it's unicameral, with some atrocious spellling and completely lacking in punctuation, but that aside,” continued the DCI “they're being kept at the BGH for photos, prints and DNA tests and we're having a handwriting expert compare the script with examples of Tammy, Bernie and Tavish, and I'd appreciate you both being there when I interview him, seeing as you already seem to know what he's going to say,” and Maude laughed, “oh Gordy, don't be such a fuddy-duddy, you believed in Doctor Who and Captain Kirk when you were wee, remember 'beam me up, Scotty!' and we al had to pretend you'd just materialised out of thin air,” and Gordon said: “well, it seems we have two people who've done just that!”
